Obermuehl an der Donau, Upper Austria, village in the district of 
Rohrbach im Muehlkreis, alt. 284 m, at the mouth of the River 
Kleine Muehl into the River Danube, in the municipality of Kirchberg 
ob der Donau. - barge station; paper mill. A part of the village was 
relocated in 1961/1962 because of the backwater caused by the Aschach 
hydroelectric power-station. - Branch church Nativity of the Blessed 
Virgin Mary, plain hall church (1722) in late Baroque style with 
rococo furnishings; Renaissance grain silo (1618).
