Obersiebenbrunn, Lower Austria, market town in the district of 
Gaenserndorf, alt. 151 m, pop.1,179, area 26.92 km%%sup 2/%, 
located in the northern part of Marchfeld Plain. - College of Domestic 
Science and Agricultural Studies; warehouse. - First documented 
mention in 1150, Baroque-style parish church (1722-1724) with high 
altar decorated with stuccowork; castle (17%%sup th/%  century, 
reconstruction in Baroque style in 1725/1726 based on plans by 
J. L. von Hildebrandt under Prince Eugène, who received 
the castle as a gift from emperor Karl VI), beautiful grounds in 
Baroque style with garden pavilion by Hildebrandt (1728, frescoes).
