Oppenberg, Styria, municipality in the district of Liezen, alt. 
1006 m, pop. 313, area 92.75 km%%sup 2/%, old mining town in 
Gullingtal valley, northwest of the Rottenmanner Tauern mountains. - 
Original Romanesque parish church (first documented mention in the 
13th century, renovated in the 15th century), surrounded by 
a walled cemetery; altar of the southern chapel (about 1677) with late 
Gothic carved figures (about 1485-1490) by E. Grasser on the centre 
panel, bells (13th century, 1504).
