Ortlieb, Patrick, b. Bregenz (Vorarlberg), May 20, 1967, 
racing skier and politician (Freedom Party, FPOe). From 1989 
participated in the World Cup; won the gold medal in downhill skiing 
at the Olympic Games in Albertville in 1992; world champion in 
downhill in Sierra Nevada in 1996. 1999 withdrew from active sports 
after a bad fall in Kitzbuehel; since 1999 member of the Nationalrat.
