Ortner, Manfred, b. Linz (Upper Austria), Nov. 3, 1943, 
architect and designer; brother of Laurids  Ortner. 1961-1967 studied 
painting and art education at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna; 
taught art until 1971. 1971-1987 member of the group  Haus-Rucker-Co, 
1985-1986 professor of design at the Technische Hochschule Eindhoven. 
1987 established the architect´s office Ortner & Ortner in 
Duesseldorf, from 1990 in Vienna, from 1994 in Berlin. Since 1994 
professor of design at the Faculty of Architecture of the Freie 
Hochschule Potsdam.
