!!!Otto der Fröhliche

b. 1301, d. Feb. 17, 1339, Duke of Austria, youngest son of  
Albrecht I, brother of  Friedrich I und  Albrecht II. 
Ruled Austria from 1330 with Albrecht II, won with him Carinthia 
in 1335 and was made Duke there according to an ancient custom. 
Founded the monastery of Neuberg in Styria and St. George's Chapel of 
the Augustinian Church in Vienna. Founded the knight's society 
"Societas Templois" there in 1337 for the crusade against the 
Prussians and Lithuanians. His epithet (documented from 1460) refers 
to his love of lively court life (Philipp  Frankfurter and  Neidhart 
Fuchs).
