Poetzleinsdorf, old winegrowing village and Biedermeier summer resort 
on the fringes of the Vienna Woods; first documented mention as 
"Pezelinisdorf" in 1112, part of the 18%%sup th/% 
 district of Vienna since 1890/1892. Church (first documented 
mention in 1638); new church (1963). Poetzleinsdorf Palace was a youth 
guesthouse of the city of Vienna until around 1980 (renovated by R. 
Rainer in 1951, now Rudolf-Steiner School (Waldorf school, since 
1983); old park with monument of J. B. Alxinger.
