b. Wiener Neustadt (Lower Austria), March 5, 1716, 
d. Vienna, Nov. 11, 1790, court architect, important architect at the 
time of Maria Theresia and as court artist influenced contemporary 
architecture. Was in charge of redesigning what is now the Federal 
Chancellery (1764-1767) and designed the church at Nadelburg Castle 
(Lower Austria, 1747-1756).

Josefsplatz, 1763-1769; redesign and completion of Schoenbrunn Palace, 
1744-1749; Gardekirche at Rennweg, 1754-1763; Hetzendorf Palace, after 
1750. - Lower Austria: Extension of the castle in Wr. Neustadt, 
1768-1777. - Carinthia: bishop's residence in Klagenfurt, 1769-1776.
