Pakesch, Peter, b. Graz (Styria), July 16, 1955, artist, 
gallery owner, art manager. 1976-1979 artist and exhibition organiser 
(e.g. for  steirischer herbst). 1980 sojourn in New York; 1981-1983 
head of the Galerie P. P. in Vienna (presented many significant 
contemporary Austrian artists). Since 1996 director of the Kunsthalle 
Basel.
