Pamhagen, Burgenland, municipality in the district of Neusiedl am See, 
alt. 121 m, pop. 1,795, area 33.06 km%%sup 2/%, summer 
tourist resort (59,963 overnight stays in 1992) in the Seewinkel area, 
situated between Lake Neusiedl and Waasen, near the Hungarian border. 
- Customs post and border station, zoo with animals native to the 
steppe, mineral water spring (supplies the whirlpool in a nearby 
resort), viniculture. - Documented mention in 1268. Parish church 
(1754, reconstruction in 1954/55); bell tower (1639); roadside 
crosses; houses with gable façades and decorated stucco.
