!!!Pappenheim, Gottfried Heinrich Graf zu

b. Treutlingen Castle (Germany), May 29, 1594, 
d. Leipzig (Germany), Nov. 17, 1632, general, imperial commander in 
the Thirty Years' War. While in the service of Bavaria in 1626 
suppressed the Upper Austrian  Peasants' Revolts; fatally wounded in 
1632 in the battle of Luetzen. The cuirassiers of his regiment became 
famous as the "Pappenheimer".
