!!!Park and Ride

Park and Ride system, link between private motor transport 
(predominantly passenger cars) as "feeder" and public transport. 
Private cars are offered parking facilities at points of transfer. The 
object is a reduction of city traffic, avoiding tailbacks and reducing 
the shortage of parking space in agglomerations. In 1992 there were 
1131 park and ride facilities in Austria with a total of 
36,017 parking spaces for passenger cars und 35,268 parking 
spaces for bicycles and motorcycles.
