Political Parties Act, enacted in 1975; it recognises the existence 
and diversity of political parties as a crucial feature of democracy 
in Austria. Founding a party and party activities are free and subject 
to no restrictions, except for National-Socialist activities. This act 
also provides for  Party Financing by the Government and obliges the 
parties to render annual accounts of their income and expenditures.
