Partenen, Vorarlberg, village in the district of Bludenz, alt. 
1,051 m, climatic high-altitude health resort, winter sport 
resort situated at the end of the Ill valley, in the district of 
Gaschurn, Montafon region. - The Silvretta Alpine Road begins here; 
toll gate. Reservoirs and storage plants of the Vorarlberg Illwerke AG 
( Gaschurn) nearby, cable railway in Vermunt Valley leading to 
Tromenier Peak (alt. 1,732 m). Church of St. Martin (1728, 
reconstructed in 1800), high altar with columns, Rococo decoration; 
Paarhof farmhouses built in log-cabin style. Birthplace of bishop of 
Linz, F. J.  Rudigier.
