d. Los Angeles (USA), March 3, 1964, singer (tenor). 1926-1938 at the 
Vienna State Opera, 1936 at the Salzburg Festival, also sang in Milan, 
Paris and Budapest; from 1940 in South America; especially famous for 
his interpretations of Mozart.
