!!!Pathologisch-anatomisches Bundesmuseum

Pathologisch-anatomisches Bundesmuseum (Federal Museum of Pathology 
and Anatomy), largest and oldest collection of its kind, founded by 
Pasqual Joseph von   (see) Ferro in 1796. The collection's approx. 
50.000 exhibits comprise predominantly fluid-preserved and macerated 
pathological specimens and moulages (wax-paraffin casts), medical 
instruments and apparatus and a large number of animal specimens. The 
Museum forms part of the Austrian   (see) Federal Museums and has been 
housed in the   (see) Narrenturm in the old part of the Vienna General 
Hospital since 1971.
