Pernitz, Lower Austria, market town in the district of Wiener 
Neustadt, alt. 430 m, pop. 2,513, area 16.60 km%%sup 2/%, in 
the upper Piestingtal valley, at the mouth of Myrabach stream, in the 
wooded Mittelgebirge mountains; in the vicinity,  Myra Falls. - 
Recreation homes; paper-mill (partly on the territory of the 
municipality of Waidmannsfeld), wood processing, building enterprise. 
- Parish church with Gothic choir (15%%sup th/%  century); Baroque 
Stations of the Cross chapels; Raimund Villa (1820).
