alt. 258 m, pop. 1,177, area 2.90 km%%sup 2/%, in the 
Erlauftal valley, north of Wieselburg. - Federal Institute for 
Cultivation Technology and Water Table Management, branch office of 
the research department of the Federal Institute for Plant Protection; 
large bakery, gravel processing plant and concrete factory. - Old 
parish founded by the diocese of Passau; late Gothic parish church 
(around 1520), hall church with 2 naves and chancel (end of the 
15%%sup th/%  century), stellar vaults and ribbed vaults (Gothic 
branch-motif ornamentation), tombstones (15%%sup th/%  and 
16%%sup th/%  centuries); palace (17%%sup th/%  century, once imperial 
estate) with impressive gate tower.
