splendid view of the Vorderer Bregenzerwald mountain region, local 
mountain of Bregenz; formed of Neogene rocks of the foreland molasse, 
for the most part wooded; accessible from Bregenz by passenger ropeway 
("Pfaenderbahn"). Alpine game preserve, eagle observatory 
showing predatory birds in flight, popular region for hiking, 
restaurants. VHF/TV transmitter; Pfaender Tunnel (6,719 m long).
