Pfundner, silver coin introduced by Sigmund von Tirol in 1482, 
equivalent to the Tirolian Pfund (= 12 Kreuzer). The Halbpfundner 
("Innsbrucker", "half-pounder") was coined in large 
quantities and was in widespread use, particularly in Southern 
Germany.
