Pfunds, Tirol, municipality in the district of Landeck, alt. 
970 m, pop. 2,270, area 140.43 km%%sup 2/%, bi-seasonal 
tourist resort (273.368 overnight stays in 1992) in the Upper Inn 
Valley, near the Swiss border. - Customs office, sports centre; 
building contractor. - Documented mention in 1282. Parish church with 
late Gothic core (enlarged between 1959-1961), in Stuben, late Gothic 
St. Mary's Church (around 1470) with late Gothic frescoes and winged 
altarpiece with late Gothic elements; Paarhof-type farmhouses 
(16%%sup th/% /17%%sup th/%  centuries); Ulrichskirche church (1766) 
on a hill.
