!!!Piaristen Piarists (Scholarum Piarum, teaching order), Catholic men's order devoted to the instruction and education of young people. Their founder, Joseph von Calasanz ( Kalasantiner), opened the first free elementary school in Europe in a Roman presbytery in 1597.
