pop. 881, area 20.94 km%%sup 2/%, bi-seasonal tourist resort 
(59,839 overnight stays in 1992) in the Lower Inn Valley, southwest of 
Schwaz. - Factory for lighting fixtures. - Gothic-Baroque parish 
church (1516-1518); Baroque pilgrimage church (1764-1766) with 
frescoes by C. A. Mayr (1767), high altar with miracle-working 
crucifix (17%%sup th/%  century).
