politician (Green Party). 1986-1991 and since 1999 member of the 
Nationalrat, 1991-1999 member of the Vienna Landtag and the Vienna 
Municipal Council, 1991-1997 chairman of the parliamentary group of 
the Green Party ( Die Gruenen), 1992-1994 its federal spokesman.
