Plansee, Lake; Tirol, alt. 976 m, 
area 2.8 km%%sup 2/%, 4.5 km long and 1.3 km wide, 
largest lake in the Ausserfern region, very good water quality; the 
area on the northern shore is called "Am Plansee". To the 
north-west lies Lake Kleine Plansee (Plansee Lake discharges into Lake 
Kleine Plansee and Archbach stream, draining into the Lech river); in 
the south-west, Heiterwanger Lake, which partly feeds Lake Plansee; 
hotels and boarding-houses mainly in Reutte (alt. 853 m) in 
the north-west; road from Reutte to Bavaria on the northern shore of 
Lake Plansee.
