b. Vienna, Oct. 7, 1893,
d. Hinterstoder (Upper Austria), Aug. 28, 1963, journalist; husband of
Marianne Pollak. 1920-1923 and 1926-1931 editor, 1931-1934 and
1945-1961 editor-in-chief of the newspaper "Arbeiterzeitung".
1934-1945 in exile (Brno, Paris, London). In this phase was a leading
member of the Revolutionaere Sozialisten; 1961-1963 in charge of the
Austrian Social Democratic Party´s (SPOe) magazine "Die
Zukunft".
