b. Vienna, March 10, 1964, soccer player. 1982-87 forward for 
Austria Wien (Austrian champion in 1984, 1985 and 1986, in 1985 also 
Cup winner), followed by a successful international career: 1987-88 AC 
Turin, 1988-91 FC Sevilla, 1991-92 CD Logrones, 1992-93 Rayo 
Vallecano, 1993-98 1st FC Koeln, 1998-2000 Borussia Moenchengladbach. 
Ended his career as a player in 2000. 94 times member of the Austrian 
national team (more often than any other Austrian footballer, followed 
by G.   (see) Hanappi); scored 44 goals in national team matches.
