b. Bruggen (Carinthia), July 8, 1939, ski-jumper, coach and sports 
educationalist. Bronze medal-winner at the 1968 Olympic Games in 
Grenoble; 1970-1976 teacher at the grammar school specialising in 
skiing in Stams; developed modern training methods taking mental and 
nutritional aspects into account; as coach 1974-1980 made the Austrian 
national team world leader. 1987-1991 head of the sports department of 
the Austrian Ministry of Education, Arts and Sports.
