!!!Preiner Gscheid

Preiner Gscheid Pass, alt. 1,070 m, pass at the border between 
Lower Austria and Styria, between Rax Mountain and Semmering Pass; 
connects the Schwarzatal valley with the Upper Muerz Valley; the pass 
road runs along the Preiner Stream in Lower Austria and the Raxenbach 
stream in Styria (road from Reichenau to Kapellen, parallel to 
Semmeringstrasse road). From the Preiner Gscheid Pass, goods cableway 
up to the Karl-Ludwig-Haus mountain refuge (alt. 1,804 m) on Rax 
Mountain.
