b. Vienna, Aug. 25, 1948, architect. Studied at the University of 
Technology and the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna under E. A.  
Plischke; 1973 founded the IGIRIEN group with W. Appelt and E.  
Kneissl. Since the mid-1980s mainly architecture for exhibitions 
(Hermesvilla 1988/1990, Ambras palace 1990, Jewish museum of Hohenems 
1990/1994, Historical Museum of the City of Vienna); redesigned the 
Austrian Museum of Folklore in Vienna 1992-1994. 1992-1996 professor 
of design in the urban context at the Gesamthochschule Kassel, since 
1998 visiting examiner at University College London. A. Loos Prize 
1994.
