!!!Protestantengesetz -patent

Protestantism, Imperial Decree on: The Imperial decree of April 8,
1861 re-regulated the legal rights of Protestants in Austria, who were
given a certain amount of freedom regarding the internal affairs of
their religious community, which was, however, subject to supervision
by the local rulers or princes. The "Federal Act on the External
Legal Relationships of the Protestant Church" passed on July 6,
1961 replaced the Imperial decree on Protestantism and granted the
Protestant Church complete internal freedom as stipulated in the
cultural affairs programme of Federal Minister H. Drimmel.
