!!!Purin, Hans

b. Bregenz (Vorarlberg), Jan. 3, 1933, architect. Apprenticed to a 
bricklayer in Bregenz, 1956-1959 studied architecture under R.  Rainer 
at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. 1980 lectureship at the 
University of Innsbruck. Since 1984 office in Bregenz, member of the 
Group of Vorarlberg Architects. Played a major role in the development 
of regional architecture, using wooden buildings in Vorarlberg.

!Works
Vorarlberg: redesigned the Bregenz-Mehrerau collegiate church, 
1961-1964; town house estates in Halde, Bludenz, 1965-1967 and 
Langenerstrasse, Kennelbach, 1974-1975; residential complex 
Lustenauerstrasse, Hohenems, 1991-1992 (with H. Kuess). - numerous 
detached houses, renovation and alteration of residential and church 
buildings.
