d. Linz (Upper Austria), Feb. 2, 1979, journalist, 1920-1938 
editor and 1945-1950 editor-in-chief of the "Linzer Volksblatt", 
1938-1945 several times imprisoned; 1952/53 editor-in-chief of the 
"Tages-Post" (Linz), later editor of the "Salzburger Nachrichten".
