b. Vienna, May 30, 1939, car and motorboat racing driver, partner in a 
building materials business. 1956-1962 motorboat races, 1958 and 1962 
European champion for boats with outboard motors, since 1965 car 
races; European champion for touring cars 1968, 1969, 1977 and 1983. 
From 1968 factory driver for BMW and instructor for BMW drivers' 
training courses. When over 60 years of age still achieved top 
placings in international long-distance races.
