Roekk, Marika (Marie Karoline), b. Cairo (Egypt), Nov. 3, 1913, 
actress, singer. Grew up in Budapest, from 1924 member of a dance 
company, 1925-1929 USA; dancer in shows and revues in numerous 
European countries; 1930 first film "Kiss Me Sergeant". 1943 contract 
with Ufa film studios, then numerous film and stage performances, e.g. 
musicals such as "Hello Dolly" and "Die Graefin vom Naschmarkt" 
(Theater an der Wien 1978).
