Raab, Gustav, b. Bad Deutsch-Altenburg (Lower Austria), Aug. 23, 
1938, bank manager. Studied at the University of Economics and 
Business Administration and at the University of Technology in Vienna, 
from 1965 in the chief association of Austrian  savings banks from 
1993-1997 its secretary general, from 1976 also managing director of 
the research unit of the Austrian savings bank system and from 
1988-1997 director of the Sparkassenhaftungs AG, an institution that 
assumes liability for the deposits of savings banks´ customers. 
Honorary professor at Vienna´s University of Economics and 
Business Administration.
