!!!Raaber Kreuze

Raab Waycrosses; Emperor Rudolf II had memorials erected at 
crossroads in Lower Austria to commemorate the retaking of the 
fortress of Raab (Gyoer, Hungary) on March 29, 1598. Their 
inscriptions had to read: "Sag Gott dem Herrn Lob und Dank, dass Raab 
wieder kommen in der Christen Hand." (Praise the Lord and be 
grateful to Him for Raab being in Christian hands again). There are 
Raab waycrosses at Korneuburg (shipyard), near Leobendorf, at Harth 
and at Kotzendorf (all in Lower Austria).
