b. Bucharest (Rumania), June 19, 1943, organist, composer and 
conductor. From 1968 professor of organ at the Musikhochschule (now 
University of Music and Performing Arts) in Vienna; specialised in the 
music of A.  Webern, P. Hindemith, A.  Bruckner, O. Messiaen and C. 
Orff. Combines avant-garde and traditional elements in his 
compositions. Numerous prizes.
