!!!Raffl, Franz

Raffl, Franz, b. Brenn (municipality of Schenna, Italy), Oct. 10, 
1775, d. Reichertshofen (Germany), Feb. 13, 1830, farmer. In 
January 1810 disclosed the hiding place of the Tyrolean freedom 
fighter A.  Hofer for 1,500 gulden to the French. Was called the 
"Judas of the Tyrol" and emigrated to Bavaria in 1811, where he died 
in poverty.
