Randegg, Lower Austria, market town in the district of Scheibbs, alt. 
366 m, pop. 1,872, area 51.88 km%%sup 2/%, on the Kleine 
Erlauf river, in the pre-Alps region. - Federal Research Institute 
(horticulture, forestry, animal husbandry), chip-burning district 
heating plant; wood processing and bonded wood industry, trade, some 
summer tourism (8,217 overnight stays in 1992). - Gothic parish church 
(15%%sup th/%  century) with stellar vaults, choir (around 1400), 
Gothic charnel house (15%%sup th/%  century); ruins with a circular 
base.
