!!!Ranna

Ranna, Upper Austria, northern tributary of the River Danube in the 
western part of the Muehlviertel region; source near Sonnen (Bavaria), 
formed by the confluence of many streams, enters Austrian territory 
near Oberkappel (alt. 511 m) and flows into the Danube near 
Rannamuehle (alt. 285 m). The long Ranna reservoir is situated 
south of the state border. A pressure tunnel leads from the reservoir 
to Ranna power plant (opened in 1925, 19 MW) located on the northern 
bank of the River Danube.
