Ratzenboeck, Josef, b. Neukirchen am Walde (Upper Austria), April 
15, 1929, studied law, politician (Austrian People´s Party 
OeVP). Founder of the pensioners´ association "Rentner- and 
Pensionistenbund" in Upper Austria (now called "Seniorenbund"); 
1969-1977 OeVP Party Secretary for Upper Austria, 1973 Landesrat for 
Finance, 1977-1995 Chairman of the Austrian People´s Party in 
Upper Austria and Landeshauptmann of Upper Austria. Influential 
position in his party at both provincial and federal level.
