Regele, Oskar, b. Ptuj, Slovenia (then Pettau), July 7, 1890, 
d. Vienna, Feb. 1, 1969, military historian, archivist, officer, press 
secretary of the Federal Army of the First Republic, military attache 
in Hungary and Romania, director of the war archives 1946-1955 and of 
the National Archives in 1955, retired in 1956. 1952-1960 president of 
the Austrian Commission for Military History.
