Reisseck, Carinthia, municipality in the district of Spittal an der 
Drau, alt. 613 m, pop. 2,475, area 139.79 km%%sup 2/%, in 
the lower Moelltal valley. Reisseck has since 1973 been the collective 
name for the villages of Kolbnitz (Oberkolbnitz, Unterkolbnitz) and 
Penk ( on January 1, 1992 Muehldorf was again separated from the 
municipality of Reisseck); the name Reisseck does not appear on maps. 
- Storage power stations Reisseck-Kreuzeck (built 1950, 135.7 MW) 
and Malta-Hauptstufe (built 1976, 730 MW) nearby. In Kolbnitz, 
southeast of Danielsberg mountain (966 m), late-Gothic/Baroque 
parish church, northwest of Kolbnitz (am Sandbichl) Baroque chapel of 
the Virgin Mary (1739-1745).
