Reich, Willi, b. Vienna, May 27, 1898, 
d. Zurich (Switzerland), May 1, 1980, musicologist and music 
journalist. Studied under A.  Berg and A. von  Webern; editor of the 
periodical for new music "23" (1932-1937), contributor to the 
"Fackel". Emigrated to Switzerland in 1938, from 1948 he worked for 
the "Neue Zuercher Zeitung" and from 1959 taught at the Technical 
University in Zuerich.

A. Berg, 1937 and 1963; Romantiker der Musik, 1947; Musik 
in unserer Zeit, 1955; R. Strauss, 1967. - Numerous essays on 
contemporary music.
