Reichert, Karl, b. Vienna, Aug. 20, 1883, d. Vienna, Dec. 20, 1953, optician. Son of Carl  Reichert; together with his brother Otto (b. Dec. 12, 1888, 
d. Jan. 17, 1972) he continued his father´s business, improved 
dark-field microscopy, 1911 invented the fluorescence microscope and 
improved metallurgical microscopy from which metallography developed.
