!!!Reichsvolksschulgesetz 1869

Reichsvolksschulgesetz 1869, liberal reform of elementary schools, 
passed on May 14, 1869 under Minister L.  Hasner von Artha. It 
included the extension of compulsory schooling to 8 years, the 
creation of an interdenominational lower and upper elementary school 
and the improvement of teacher training. In 1962 it was replaced by 
the law on  School Legislation of 1962.
