Reininger, Robert, b. Linz (Upper Austria), Sept. 28, 1869, 
d. Vienna, June 17, 1955, philosopher. Post-Kantian, influenced by G. 
Berkeley´s philosophy; 1913-1940 professor at Vienna University. 
In his view the notion of value is at the origin of all ethical 
action; he tried to apply the clarity of Kant's Critiques to the 
solution of the fundamental problems of philosophy.
