Reininghaus, Johann Peter von, b. Isenburg bei Kierspe (Germany), Oct. 2, 1818, 
d. Graz (Styria), May 7, 1901, industrialist; grandfather of Peter  
Reininghaus, son-in-law of Adolf Ignaz  Mautner (in 1850 married 
Therese Mautner). Bought the Koenigshofer brewery in Baierdorf near 
Graz in 1853 and together with his brother Julius expanded it to a 
large-scale enterprise; also established the first factory for ethyl 
alcohol and pressed yeast in Styria.
