!!!Reinmar von Zweter

Reinmar von Zweter, b. Rheinfranken (?), around 1200, 
d. after 1247, minnesinger and poet, political epigrams, probably of 
noble descent. May have been pupil of  Walther von der Vogelweide, 
1227 started his career as a poet in Austria, lived at the Babenberg 
court at the time of  Leopold VI and  Friedrich II, led a 
vagrant life from 1241. Because of his extraordinary command of 
musical forms the mastersingers counted him among the 12 founders of 
their art.
